Design Engineer

Job Description:

Job Purpose: the company urgently requires an AutoCAD Designer with hands-on experience in programming and
operating laser cutting machines. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate drawings, converting
designs into machine-ready programs, and supporting smooth production operations.

Responsibilities: Responsible for:

1. Prepare and modify 2D drawings in AutoCAD as per production requirements
2. Create programs for laser cutting machines (nesting, tool paths, parameters)
3. Convert customer/engineering drawings into laser-ready formats
4. Optimize material usage through efficient nesting and programming
5. Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure accuracy
6. Troubleshoot basic issues related to laser cutting programs
7. Maintain documentation of drawings and programs
8. Team work, Team building and Retention of team.
9. Behavior, Self Development, Grooming, Planning and organizing work.
10. Need to perform any additional task given by management time to time.

Requisite Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D mandatory)
• Experience in laser cutting machine programming & operation
• Knowledge of nesting software and cutting parameters
• Understanding of sheet metal drawings and fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Education: ITI / Diploma / BE in Mechanical or related field (preferred)
Relevant Experience: Minimum 2 years from Design field in industrial product
