Job Description – Import Procurement Executive

Key Responsibilities

Handle end-to-end import procurement and purchasing activities.

Coordinate with international suppliers and vendors for pricing, orders, and deliveries.

Manage import documentation, customs clearance, and shipment tracking.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with overseas suppliers.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials/products.

Coordinate with logistics partners, freight forwarders, CHA, and warehouse teams.

Ensure compliance with import regulations, GST, and international trade policies.

Prepare purchase reports, MIS reports, and cost analysis reports.

Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance.

Control procurement costs while maintaining product quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in import purchasing or international procurement.

Strong knowledge of import-export procedures and documentation.

Familiarity with customs regulations, logistics, and vendor management.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP Systems, and Procurement Software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience handling international suppliers and import operations independently.

Good understanding of global sourcing and market trends.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments/orders.

Detail-oriented with strong coordination and organizational skills.
