Job Description:

Job Title: Mechanical Installation cum Service Engineer – Material Handling Equipment

Job Summary:
Responsible for Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Servicing of Hydraulic Goods Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Electric Stackers, Dock Levellers, and other Material Handling Equipment at customer sites. Ensures safe and efficient operation of machinery while providing Technical Support and After-Sales Service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and commission Hydraulic Goods Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Electric Stackers, Dock Levellers, and related Material Handling Equipment.

• Read and interpret Mechanical Drawings, GA Drawings (General Arrangement Drawings), Hydraulic Circuit Diagrams, and Installation Manuals.

• Perform Mechanical Assembly, Alignment, and Fitting of components including Guide Rails, Hydraulic Cylinders, Platforms, Motors, Chains, Bearings, and Structural Components.

• Conduct Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Breakdown Maintenance activities.

• Diagnose Mechanical Failures, identify root causes, and perform Repair & Replacement of defective components.

• Troubleshoot Hydraulic Systems including Hydraulic Pumps, Control Valves, Hydraulic Cylinders, Hoses, Pipelines, and Oil Leakages.

• Ensure compliance with Safety Standards, Installation Procedures, and Customer Site Regulations.

• Coordinate with Electrical Engineers during complete Machine Installation, Commissioning, and testing activities.

• Prepare Service Reports, Maintenance Logs, Installation Checklists, and customer documentation.

• Provide Operator Training on equipment operation, safety practices, and routine maintenance.

• Travel to customer locations for Site Installation, Commissioning, Breakdown Support, and Technical Service.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Hydraulic Systems, Lifting Equipment, and Material Handling Equipment.

• Expertise in Mechanical Assembly, Fabrication, Equipment Alignment, and Mechanical Troubleshooting.

• Understanding of Load Testing, Performance Testing, and Commissioning Procedures.

• Proficiency in using Hand Tools, Power Tools, Measuring Instruments, and Service Equipment.

• Knowledge of Welding, Fabrication Techniques, and Structural Assembly preferred.

• Strong Technical Communication, Customer Handling, and Problem-Solving Skills.

Qualifications:

Diploma / ITI / BE Mechanical Engineering

2–5 Years Experience in Material Handling Equipment Installation and Field Service Engineering.

• Hands-on experience with Hydraulic Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Electric Stackers, Dock Levellers, and Industrial Lifting Systems preferred.
